"The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world. There will most likely be no ticket-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor. But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our encouragement, who will need our talents. Someone who will live a happier life merely because we took the time to share what we had to give. Too often we underestimate the power of touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. It's overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt."

i love photography.

Ever since I went to Europe last summer I have this "passion" (if you want to call it that) for photography. I'm not quitting my day job or anything but I definitely want to up my photography skillz. My posterity can only be thankful for this itch. What better way to preserve a sweet moment or the important events in someone's life.

Speaking of sweet moments, my good friend Erin is marrying her best friend Warren. I couldn't be happier for this dynamic duo!

Their engagements were taken by none other than the Mike Cunningham. Mike is not only an amazing photographer but a stellar person!
AND he makes you feel like a million bucks! Seriously the best/sincerest compliment giver!

Check out his site here.

Werin- I figured it was okay to post this pic since it's on fb. If not, too late. Also, Mike are you going to sue?!

Tis' the Season to Smell Good

So there's this lotion that my mom purchased for me last year. The lotion I got hooked on and to this day haven't fully recovered from. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I couldn't find it anymore. I found myself visiting any new Bath & Body Works store that I would run across in hopes that someone may have returned a bottle from Christmas! At one point I even went online and purchased a few bottles on eBay. True story.

Luckily, it's that time of year! So... lately I've been keeping my eyes wide and just the other day there it was in a perfect triangle display.... bottles and bottles of Winter Candy Apple! The packaging may have changed but it's still that same amazing scent!

So now you know. In addition to last years Holiday delights they've added a few new ones. I'm currently trying and loving Yuletide Pear Vanilla. People are already asking me what perfume I wear. Not a big perfume girl but definitely a fan of scented lotion. While I'm on the subject, another great lotion that I've recently discovered is Satsuma Body Butter by The Body Shop. Definitely a little pricier but a great moisturizer if you have dry skin. One of these needs to be yours! Tis' the Season to smell good!

Jangel in the City of Angels

Janie took a little trip to California...

We met up with some good friends of Janie's for breakfast.

Here we are trying to make our way over to the shiny building aka Marriott.

We made it! AND made our way to the pool.

Janie surprised Dave with this DELICIOUS cake.

Went to the Mexico border.
Oopsy Daisy.
Yes- Janie took a picture after the lady said it was illegal.
But don't worry...

we did drive by the beautiful San Diego Temple.

It was a little chilly but nobody comes to California without visiting the beach!

Between the lines we:
Watched some General Conference.
Went to the Trey Mcintyre Project
at
The Orange County Performing Arts Center (rad).
Made some dinner.
Hot tubbed.
Drove with a mattress on top of the car.
Went to dinner for Dave's B-day.
Spent some quality time in the car-a.
Shared a pink star.
Got Janie some sexy shoes and stylin' jeans.

It was eventful to say the least!
Thanks for coming Jangel! Elly we missed you!

PinkBerry

The time has come for a phone upgrade.
Sadly, my red razor is no longer.
RIP.
Almost went with silver, BUT I decided against it.
Since PINK is the new silver.
Duh!

Becky's gotta gun!

SO, I'm at work the other day and this guy asks me if I've ever shot a gun before. I'm like, "of course, I'm from Texas"(funny thing.. I think I've shot a gun once in Texas and the rest of the time it's been in Utah). He replies, "What kind of gun?"... "oh a 22 and a hand gun". So he now wants to show me something. We walk over to this large and in charge safe. He opens it up and he's got enough guns to pack a small army. Okay so maybe that's an exaggeration but there were a lot. Very unique ones that you usually don't see or at least that I've never seen before. I think they got a kick out of it because I thought it was the coolest thing. They were surprised because "most girls don't like guns". I typically don't like guns but happened to be fascinated with his collection. For example, he had me hold a gun that was designed by and belonged to John Wayne. He designed the trigger rest to be much larger for his big hands to fit/rest comfortably. The craftsmanship was pretty remarkable and the little details gave it a lot of character. I held a gun that was used during the civil war (awesome!) as well as a sniper that he designed and an m-18 (not to be confused with the m-16) and showed me a belt full of bullets that date back to the 1800's.

Some of you are probably thinking what does this girl do for work?! Marketing. Not for guns, just doctors!

I wanna be with you 25/7

Last weekend Jeff flew to the HB to see me! When he asked me what my plans were for the weekend early on that week, I had no idea that I would be seeing him on Friday!

my main man sexy on the sand.

We played for most of the day at Laguna Beach.

I love when random strangers surprise you and take a great picture! You know, both your faces make it in.

Jeff and I had a full course late lunch/early dinner on the pier.

(Yes, that's a shark cut open with whole fish inside)

After a day in the sun we hit up the 3rd St Promenade in Santa Monica later that night. Stopped by the LA temple for a quick drive by and headed back to Huntington Beach. We were both exhausted on the way home. A night, a full day, and a morning just isn't long enough!

Legally Blonde on a Thursday Night

Girls night! Erin, Shauna and I saw Legally Blonde last week. Quite possibly my favorite Broadway. Shauna put it best, "it's not going to warm your heart or anything... but it's really fun". The music was phenomenal! I am going to download ALL of it and by next week I'm pretty positive it will be in the "most played" list on my ipod! The girl looked exactly like Reese and Warner was played by Michael Mclean's son. Made me laugh. Made me smile. Made my night. I can't wait to see it again!!!

Enrichment Night

Enrichment at our house! Tonight we learned how to hem our jeans. Original hem hemming! I'm no Nordstrom's, but I have to say I'm pretty proud of the final product. These jeans are ready for a night out on the town!

My footsies will be sporting these flatsies! 14 dollars well spent!
