Let's Hear it for the Boys!!!

I just got out of one of these. Tonight of all nights...the night I'm wearing my green pj bottoms with large pink flamingos. Yes, I was concerned. Honestly...how embarassing???!!! Candice (my roomy) and I are at home and we start hearing this chirpy/beep sound coming from the hallway. Our carbon monoxide detector was going off. At first we thought it was the batteries but then we realized it was plugged in. "You call! No, you call! Seriously you're the oldest, sooo you need to call!" Back and fourth and then finally I won...Candice called 911. She was told that we needed to evacuate our apartment so Candice hurried and changed while I grabbed some food (apparently I wasn't too concerned about the flamingos). We sat out in the parking lot when not one but two cops showed up along with an ambulance and fire truck, lights and all!! We started in the back of a cop car and eventually moved to the ambulance. They took our numbers...well our vitals. Candice and I were both a little nervous about our check-up since we didn't have our "girl tops" on, but luckily were weren't asked to take off more than our coats. We both got an A+ and our apartment is free and clear of carbon monoxide hopefully...that is if we wake up tomorrow. A big thanks to Logan City Police, EMT's and Firefighters. Let's hear it for the boys!!!
