July 15

Today we covered a lot of ground. It's our third day in Paris and we aren't slowing down. We started out the morning at Sainte Chapelle chapel, known for its thirteenth century stain glass.

I'm not a fan of stained glass, but I couldn't help but think it was pretty! The detail was a thing to appreciate!

The floor was unique and sort of inspirational. I'm sure one of my patterns will be inspired by this.

(Lindsey and I getting in trouble with the man sitting behind us for talking!)

Next stop, the Pompidou! Really funky and modern. I'm sure some people walk by and say, "I wonder when they'll finish it". The Pompidou was designed by Richard Rogers. He definitely created an industrial feel with industrial elements exposed which I'm sure was very risky for his time!

(The view when we got off of the escalator. Oh PearE)

(Art)

(I borrowed this from Brady. So funny! I actually saw one of these at LaCaille in Utah. Now I have proof that indeed there are brail playboys! Thank you Pompidou.)

(So cool!)

(The Louvre)

(Winged Victory was one of my favorites. The Mona Lisa was pretty cool too. Smaller than I expected!)

See what I mean?! We did a lot today. We finished our tour at the Louvre. To be completely honest I was done when we got there but what are you gonna do? That's right! Suck it up and walk quickly. There was no way we were going to see everything but we saw a lot of incredible artwork and sculpture. I have to say that there are many museums that I would choose to go to over the Louvre but all in all it was a good time! I love this sculpture that's above. The artist is unknown which makes it even cooler. Mona was not as big as I thought she'd be, but I'm glad we paid her a visit along with her other couple hundred friends!
