can't sleep

A few things I'm thinking about as I'm lying in bed...

1) Jay Z's new rap song about ny has a line that goes, "BK is from Texas" and I get really excited since I'm a BK ... just realized it stands for Beyonce Knowles who is also a BK from Texas. That is neat.

2) Is it just me or did Elizabeth on the bachelor really bug tonight. Last episode she explained to Jake that she didn't want him to kiss her until she was the last one standing. I think he totally respected her for it and thought it was sweet until he realized it had nothing to do with her value system, just a game she wanted to play. The girl totally teased him and kept asking him if he wanted to kiss her and then told him not to in the same breathe. Dumb. So dumb. And frankly a little awkward.

THEN tonight she does it again. I cringed with embarrassment for her. Jake nailed it when he said that Elizabeth hasn't yet figured herself out. Not a direct quote: she's scared and feels like if she controls the situation it would be less painful. It's not about who is in control, it's about falling in love and letting things happen. Totally agree! Love is not a control thing. Love is about taking risks and putting yourself out there. And yes Elizabeth, sometimes you get hurt but it's also how you come together with the love of your life. I was totally impressed that he called her on it... Jake is obviously not into games and sent Elizabeth home!

3) I hope it rains a little softer tomorrow!
